Boulder Alley runs from Sharks Pit to the Navy Sea Wall. The tall cliff line drops down into the water to depths from 20’ to 50’ before sloping steeply into the abyss. The large boulders provide shelter for pyramid butterflyfish and the occasional reef shark and turtle. Shark’s Pit was named for the numerous sharks that used to hangout here when it was used as a dump site. Trash is no longer dropped here, but divers can still find a great number of items left behind, from cafeteria trays to numerous shell casings. Leave it on the bottom – especially the bullets! This site is almost always done as a drift.
